Beauty and the Beast "Insatiable": No Where Is Safe

VinCat fans, Insatiable was the episode you were waiting for as Beauty and the Beast let it's two lovebirds soak in the after effects of everything that has happened. Meaning, these two characters are finally in a place where they are happy and ready to take on what they need to. Which includes Joe's manhunt for Vincent and Murfield still on Vincent's trail. Insatiable this week also let it's other characters shine this week as each played their own part in the story. I have to say that I'm glad the Batb is getting the hang of mixing the romance in with the crime mysteries. It is no longer two separate stories, but one arcing one that is good entertainment. Not to mention that Insatiable was a real game changer for Batb.

So Insatiable begins off with Vincent and Catherine enjoying the afterglow of their relationship's peak and of each other. Basically the first five minutes of this episode was dedicated to them smiling, flirting, and being with each other (obviously making up for the first half of the season). Then Catherine finds out that Joe had been calling her to a crime scene, and leaves to keep up appearances. Catherine arrives on scene that appears to be another kill by the vigilante, but Catherine knows it wasn't Vincent and attempts to show Joe this with facts. Joe refuses to admit that there is a chance this could not be the vigilante and continues the investigation. So Catherine sets out to prove this wasn't the work of the vigilante, but another. Then Evan gets proof that Catherine is in contact with the creature and warns her that if she is helping the creature, Evan will make sure it gets hunted down. With Evan possibly knowing the truth Catherine begins to panic, but Vincent comes up with a plan to fake his death. Elsewhere, Tess is benched when Joe fears for her safety and she begins investigating the cold leads.

I really liked how Batb made use of all it's characters and none were truly "useless" in Insatiable. Not only that, but fans of VinCat were probably extremely happy with the outcome of events and their favorite couple finally getting it on, if you know what I mean. There were plenty of cute little moment between the two to set off a couple of fan girl frenzies. But hey, they are cute together and it's nice seeing them happy for once and not all depressed like. In addition to any scene that ends up with Jay Ryan's shirt off is good too. Oh wait did I say that out loud? Moving on, I have mentioned before how good Catherine and Vincent work together, and add JT into the miss, and you have got an crack investigation team. Other than my favorites, we need to talk about Evan and Tess now. Both these characters have been on the rock and this week were finally put to good use. Especially Tess since her actions could possible affect next week's episode as well in addition to the rest of the rest. As for Evan, well actually, what did he actually do?

Now let's talk what exactly made this episode a bit of a bore. First there is Evan. He is seeming more and more like a lost puppy following Catherine around. There is like no chance for him to get together with her, but he still has hope and is willing to get in bed with Murfield. Evan really needs a girlfriend and maybe a redemption plot. Now Tess, she was not as annoying this week and wouldn't let her boss lover tell her what to do. I have been on the line with her, and I'm hoping with what happened near the end of the episode, she might become more likable. Well that and breaking up with Joe. Also anyone find that it was a bit too easy that JT was able to get his hands on a body and sneak it out without anyone noticing? Finally, the whole VinCat bliss thing did take up most of the episode. For those of you who wanted more story, you're out of luck.

Anyways Insatiable was a game changer for Beauty and the Beast in more ways than one. VinCat has made it official in a whole new way and the fandom has yet another couple of scenes to spam across tumblr. I'm just hoping they stop the whole Tess/Joe relationship before it gets awkward for everyone. I am a bit interested in this new character of Gabe Lowen, and how he is involved with everything. Oh that is going to be fun. See you all next week, and we'll see if we like Tess a bit more.

Did you like all the VinCat scenes? What do you think the story is with Gabe Lowen?
