The Team coming to Rosen's Recuse. |
What makes Alphas great is that it never forgets the human issues of the show and how it affects them and their work. With the government in the building, Gary is having an issue with them messing up his schedule and stealing his shelf. Due to his autism, it causes Gary to lash out violently. In a way this shows the attitude the government has to alphas has the workers don't make any effort to work with Gary's autism. Bill is having some small issues with dealing with Rosen back in charge and doing things his own way. Rosen himself is dealing with the conspiracy theory that is Stanton Parish.
The large issue is shown when Nina finally decides to show up at work and tries to make amends for she did to Hicks and trys to get back together, but is angered to found out that Hicks is seeing someone. This pushes Nina over the edge (even worse when she finds out that it's Rosen's daughter) and she leaves the team. Nina basically goes off the grid.
Aside from the people issues, the team deal with a case of an alpha who can move at fast speeds and is one of the escaped alphas from Binghamton. Rosen eventually figures out that this alpha has a connection to Stanton Parish, and makes Rosen realize there is a much bigger game here afoot. I sense a story arc starting.
For now the team is glued to together but the cracks are still showing. Nina has left the team and actually pushed Dr. Rosen which will be another issue the team will deal with. In addition to Rosen just finding out about Hicks and his daughter. In my opinion, this episode was great and it showed that nothing was going to be the same other than helping other troubled alphas. I can foresee though that these cracks in the team are going to grow bigger.
