Supernatural Spoilers: Castiel's Return and More

Castiel in Purgatory.
Its always a good sign for fans when the president of the CW says, "I am a big 'Supernatural' fan, so I hope it stays on as long as I'm here." Meaning Supernatural fans, we can see a future, a possible 10 seasons future? But down to business.

Ever since first appearing in Lazarus Rising, Castiel has become a fan favorite but due to the events in Season 7, he began to appear less (Misha Collins was not a season regular anymore either). So what about Cas? Well Castiel is confirmed so far to return in Season 8 and appear in 8 episodes so far. This episode count increase later on in the season, but for now, we'll have to take the word of the CW president.

Of course Castiel will be changed due to his time in Purgatory, and sources says that he'll revert back to the way he was before becoming the "new" God and taking on Sam's hell. Collins comments about his character, "He's a little bit more worldly, a little bit more weary, a little bit more worn than he was before." Castiel will return in the second episode of the season. You can get a couple more tibits if you read the Huffpost Tv article.

A bit more information about Sam's love life has hit the internet. So shortly after losing everyone, Sam meets Amelia. With Sam's past, he is not quite a catch (despite his looks) when Amelia first meets Sam. The writers don't want to make it too easy on Sam since he have been literally to hell and back. We know the two eventually get together, but like his previous girlfriends (excluding Ruby cause she was a demon and not his girlfriend), he didn't tell her about his past.

What about Dean? There is no plans for any romance for Dean this season as he will be too busy dealing with a vampire named Benny (played by Ty Olson). The two formed an alliance to get out of Purgatory and Dean will be indebted to Benny. On the top topic Benny being the next big bad, Carver says, "I don't know if I would call him the big bad," Carver says. "I would call him a big influence and a force to be reckoned with, but I don't know that I'd call him the big bad. He's big; he's bad. He's a lot of things." This is going to spell out trouble for Dean in the future.

Last spoiler of the day, Supernatural recently cast Futurama's Lauren Tom to play an overbearing mom and she could potentially could become a recurring character on the show. Not sure how her role going to play out though since its not sure what kind of mother she'll play. She could be angel, demon, hunter, or human. There is even talk that she could possibly be a mother like figure. More spoilers will come out about it sooner or later.

Remember that Purgatory is not hell. Think of it like The Hunger Games. Can't believe I just said that.....
