About: "Our entire way of life depends on electricity. So what would happen if it just stopped working? Well, one day, like a switch turned off, the world is suddenly thrust back into the dark ages. Planes fall from the sky, hospitals shut down, and communication is impossible. And without any modern technology, who can tell us why?
Now, 15 years later, life is back to what it once was long before the industrial revolution: families living in quiet cul-de-sacs, and when the sun goes down, the lanterns and candles are lit. Life is slower and sweeter. Or is it?
On the fringes of small farming communities, danger lurks. And a young woman's life is dramatically changed when a local militia arrives and kills her father, who mysteriously - and unbeknownst to her - had something to do with the blackout. This brutal encounter sets her and two unlikely companions off on a daring coming-of-age journey to find answers about the past in the hopes of reclaiming the future."
Our Opinion: At first I wasn't so sure on this show, but it had sounded cool and it was created by Eric Kripke who had created one of my favorite all time shows Supernatural. The casting, I didn't know too many of the actors (except for Trancy Spiridakos who was in Being Human).
The real game changer for me was the trailer as it drew me into the world at Kripke built in this a place where no power resided. Can you imagine that? No power whatsoever? The trailer also shows there more than just a struggle to get power back, but human problems as well. Society has had to adjust and sometimes it brings out the worst in people. I have high hopes for Revolution and might check it out myself, that is if it plays on a Canadian channel anyways. Revolution will premiere on NBC on Monday September 17, 2012. Trailer below.
On a side note, we will be doing Pilot Mondays for the next few weeks. If you want a pilot looked at, leave a comment below in the box. Next week, we look at the CW's Beauty and the Beast remake.
PS. We are not moving site addresses, since the ones I wanted got taken, so we're staying right here.
