What an episode Alphaville was! Alphaville was a real game changer for Alphas as Rosen continued his search for what Parish's ultimate end game was. To make it more of a treat, Alphas saw the return of Summer Glau as Skylar Adams. Now lets take a lookie.
Following up on on the previous episode, Rosen decides to track down Skylar for her help on figuring out what the device Rosen found really does and how it fits into Parish's ultimate alpha plan. So the team pack up on and leave for the boonies. This is where Danielle, Rosen's daughter, kicks in. Since Hicks is dating her, he tells her the plans unknowingly giving away their plan. Since the moment the relationship between the two was revealed back in Wake Up Call, we all knew this was going to happen at some point. This causes Parish to send his own little team after the gang.
Back to the plot, the team eventually finds Skylar in a town where everyone is an alpha. They are not welcomed with open arms though due to the gang being outsiders. Then the pebble is in the air when an alpha tells Rosen that Rosen's speech about alphas ruined his life. As much as Rosen wished to do good, he also inflicted harm as people who were living in secret about their abilities were thrown out of their everyday lives. I mean, what did Rosen really get other than making Parish and the government angry with him? Rosen's intentions were noble, but were they really thought though? I feel if I say anymore I'm going to give the episode away.
Alphaville, I feel is one the stronger episodes of season 2 of Alphas. It has touching moments, action, and new twists that just keep you on your toes. It also poses questions like, What will happen to Rachel now? Will Danielle choose a side? Will Rosen figure out who the leak is in the gang? Will Gary ever find a place of his own? Alphaville is really just a showcase of what I love about Alphas.
Next week, Gods and Monsters airs. What an ominous title.
