House: He may not be kind, but he was great

Season 8 finale promotional image.
After being cancelled mid-season, House writer set out to write a proper ending to the series. After 8 seasons of House and his medical team, everything is now tied up in a  nice bow. House was one of those shows that intrigued you as well as make you wonder about how Dr. House got away with being a jackass. In a way, the show about the story and adventures that Gregory House embarked on. Well figuratively anyways.

The central character House is what makes the show worth watching. The character House is loosely based on Sherlock Holmes. Like Holmes, House only truly cares about getting to the truth and his mind is thinking logically rather than emotionally. But House isn't a character without flaws as he doesn't really care about people, is a drug addict and likes to live on the edge. House's lifestyle tends to get him in trouble more then once throughout the series. The one thing that keeps House on track is his friend Wilson, who just happens to be House's only friend. In a way, House and Wilson's friendship becomes at times a storyline in itself or a driving factor.

Besides House, there is his medical team that helps him solve cases. House's team helps House figure out what is killing their patient as well as being open season for House to pick on. In season 1 - 3, we met Dr. Chase, Dr. Cameron and Dr. Foreman. After the events of Season 3, House was forced to get a new team in Dr. Hadley, Dr. Taub, and Dr. Kuther. In season 5, the team faced tragedy when Kuther committed suicide. In season 6, Dr. Chase soon rejoined the team along side Dr. Hadley, Dr. Taub, and Dr. Foreman. In season 7, due to Dr. Hadley's disappearance, Dr. Masters temporarily joins the team. In season 8, Dr. Adams and Dr. Park join the team. The team is not just for show, for each all have their own storyline and flaws that play out in the show. Although they do tend to break out in random topics while doing tests or scanning patients.

Over the seasons, House has dealt with many different story lines. With the exception of Season 1 and 7, it has had every season great finales that drew the audience in. The best one by far was the finale of Season 4 when House was trying to figure out what was killing Wilson's girlfriend. With each season, House manages to draw the audience even more in the world of House. Out of all the season though, season 7 was the weakest of them all. With the exception of the episode Bombshells, season 7 dealt with the House/Cuddy relationship and near the end started to become silly. Although season 8 managed to redeem House. In between all the medical stuff, as a viewer I found it weird when the doctors seemed to think that breaking out in conversation while doing an test was appropriate. The same thing would always happen; they would talk and something happens to the patient.

The series finale of House was something. Like the creator David Shore said, it was an ending truly deserving of House. In Everybody Dies, it focuses on House himself and his view on life in addition to everything that has led up to this point. It also showcased former team members and friends of House (with the exception of Cuddy). Without giving too much away, the episode ends with House doing one selfless act. Although I must ask, what is it with tv shows and their characters faking their deaths? Sherlock is the one that made it cool and I think we all can agree it was the best. Either way, the episode ends with everyone on their own path.

To put is simply, House was a medical drama with a Sherlock Holmes twist. House knew how to draw in its audiences with a combination of humor, drama and mystery. House is not recommended for the light hearted as it tends to make sexual, racial and inappropriate jokes. Meaning it is no family show. Despite some of its stories plot let downs, House up to season 6 drew you in into the world of Gregory House. Although around season 7, I did lose some love for the season and by the time it had finished the season I didn't care too much about House. As I stated above, Season 8 renewed and reminded me how great House used to be. I'll forever remember the pranks House pulled on Wilson and his general antics.

Its Offical, House is over

Dr. House
House's days are now numbered. News came out today that Fox is putting an end to House and this season will be its last. This is not surprising, since House has been beginning to lose what made it a great show in the first place. Although I have to say that last season's episode, Bombshells was quite enjoyable.

Last year and this one too, I found myself watching House just because I felt I had to since I had watched earlier seasons. The seasons that got me to love House, and went out on a House marathon. I even went out to buy all the seasons which is now currently collecting dust in my shelf. Now with Season 8 being its last, House can hopefully got out with a bang.

House begins tormenting us again

I have been watching House for a long time now, and the recent years, it has begun to annoy me. Mostly because of its random breaks, and waiting times. Last year it would give us 3 episode then go on a 2-3 week break, which is extremely dumb. Because of this, I have lost some love for House, and if I miss an episode I'm not upset. Although, last season they had a really awesome episode with the Zombie attack (remember "Good thing I brought my axe-cane"?).

So there is no episode airing tonight because, "Risky Business" is a Halloween special. I get having to wait to line it up, but after last season, this sort of thing is sort of expected and probably will happen again in the future. House I'm expecting something amazing this season.

That and Supernatural pwns you.

House: Rich Man Crisis

By now I guess Mondays are "House Episode Review" days since I have nothing else better to write about.

So tonight's episode was about a billionaire's son who is very sick (shocker there) and send his son to the hospital to see if he can get some results. When he gets there he demands for House and only House due to House's reputation. So in result, House is put in charge in a way but Foreman is still in control. On a side note, Foreman and Chase are trying to cover up Chase's on purpose mistake that resulted in the death of the controversial leader.

What made this episode interesting was the lack of knowledge the doctors had during the episode. "I Don't Know" was the common phase throughout the episodes. Usually they always know what is going on but in this case they didn't. Not even House knew. Of course they always figure out whats wrong. Man I love watching House, gotta do homework now.

On a side note I really wish they would stop talking about swine flu.

House going Political

Tonight's episode of house featured a controversial leader of country who had fallen ill. This cause unrest within the staff of the hospital whether or not to treat him.

House is back!! Well just sitting there without a medical license and the original team is back together again. Other than Foreman being the leader this time. I thought it was kinda funny that now after what, two seasons, the original team now back together and I am guessing that thirteen will soon break up with foreman. It is like they just didn't like the new cast and reverted back to the old one.

On another note, with house back in the doctor business, I have had more laughs than the first two previous episodes when he wasn't. This of course applies to when he is "trying" not to overrule foreman. Like using play on words like always, shouts the answers out or doing serades to give out the answer.

But to this episode it is on the more political side. When watching I couldn't decide if or not this guy was bad. During the episode a man confronts Chase on treating the leader and asks him to not help him. This pushes Chase to question things and later leads him to doing something unforgivable. Also Cameron, doesn't want to help him at all due to his past history in his country. Another aspect is the way people treat Vietnam veterans with the example of Wilson and the guy living under his apartment. People seems to have an respect for these people and I don't blame them, they fought of their country. Special mention, he was from Canada and had a Canadian flag in his apartment. In the end, the episode ends bad (not the episode sucked but in an effect way) and leaves tension to be unraveled in next episode.

House is back!!

House is Back! But this time from a mental institution
.

The hit tv show "House" is back on the air, after House checks into a insane asylum after experiencing hallucinations. To be honest, that season finale I never saw coming and I can almost figure anything out that's going to happen on tv. Unfortunately, I missed the first half an hour of the two hour season premiere, so I don't know how it began. When I did tune in I saw an not too happy House in therapy at a mental hospital. In short he was a jackass to everyone (typical house). He keeps trying to break out but it all ends it vain. The head hanco guy won't let him out and I wouldn't blame him. Most people in the mental hospital believe they are sane. To be honest I expect from laughs from house and I only got a few.

But there was some key moments that were really good, or rather kept you interested. Like for instance, House falling in love with a married woman. That in my mind spelled disaster and was just wrong. Another key event is when House was nice is when he helped the guy who believed he was a superhero. It was happy till the guy jumped off the building believing he could fly. Now the funniest part of the whole episode was the rapping part. The hospital held a talent show and one of the guys tried to rap and house helped him out. Now picture your grandfather rapping, that pretty much what it was. Of course his romance with the married lady ends and House gets out of the hospital.

I still love watching house and I am looking forward to what will come. Also hope his hair goes back to the way it was, but thats just me.
