After its explosive finale, Alphas return 8 months later and Dr. Rosen is locked up in a mental institution. The team itself has been separated and gone their own ways leaving Bill and Hicks behind. Rachel has quit the team and is now living solely in her bedroom. Nina went her own way too, she and Hicks broke up and Nina began relaying on her push ability. Gary was lent out to the NSA, but to them not understanding his disability, Gary got sent to Binghamton.
Now Alphas is not just about a group of people who are superheroes, but people who have abilities and problems. We see this in every single character of Rosen's group. Rachel can't sleep anymore due to her hearing ability and doesn't trust anyone but Rosen. Nina is slowly losing control of herself as she falls into bad habits as she frequently uses her push ability. Hicks is slowly losing control of his ability as seen when he shoots a parking meter. Bill has heart problems so he can't push himself too hard. Gary loses sense of reality due to his schedule not being kept. Dr. Rosen, well he is forced to hold onto the hope that one day he will be let out. Which he does due to an unstable situation at Binghamton.
I'm not going to delve into the episode too much since I don't want to give too much away. Although you can expect that Alphas will be bringing the team back together in the end in a manner that suits where season 2 is heading. Although Rosen manages to take the situation and get some control in the way alphas are treated, which was why he first revealed the existence of alphas. Season 2 will bring us the hunt for the escaped alphas.
So what will Alphas Season 2 brings us? How will Rosen deal with the alphas who are dangerous? How and when will the new alpha arrive? Will everything go back to normal for the Rosen team? Promo trailer below.
