The New Companion is: Jenna Louise Coleman

Its been officially announced and the months of speculation are now over. According to news reports, today BBC announced that Jenna Louise Coleman will be the next companion to the doctor.

The question is now, whats her story? In addition to how she will affect the doctor. Her character (which has not been named) will be introduced in this year's Christmas special. Which means, we will be saying goodbye to Amy and Rory around that time. We can expect to see the Ponds for about 5 episodes before their end. Steven Moffat has revealed that the Ponds will meet their end with the Weeping Angels. Someone will die, and stay dead (Moffat promised).

I secretly think it will be Amy since Karen Gillian has said herself that after she leaves, she doesn't want to come back. But this new companion will bring her own element and uniqueness to the tardis.
