Beauty and the Beast "Partners In Crime": Shifty Eyes and No More Lies

BEST. EPISODE. EVER!!!!!! Man, for once Beauty and the Beast has taken me for a wild ride, and Partners In Crime was so much more than I expected. In fact I am even going to say that Partners In Crime was the highlight of my week as it had me on the edge of my seat the whole time, soaking up every single minute of Batb in it's glory. Between the whole Tess could be on Team VinCat, or not, and who is Gabe and what does he want with Vincent. Partners in Crime is a real game changer for Beauty and the Beast. Really proud that Batb can bring these stories to the table and still wow me. In addition to tickling my inner fan girl.

So Partners in Crime picks up right where Batb last left off with Tess cornering Vincent in the sewers. She shoots Vincent just as Catherine arrives on scene. Vincent is wounded and Catherine rushes to his side, as Tess attempts to call for back-up. Tess soon realizes that Catherine is working with the vigilante, in addition to him being Vincent, Cat's boyfriend she had previously mentioned. Tess runs and Catherine gives chase to try to explain herself to Tess. Vincent, who has healed from his wound, manages to grab Tess and just as they are about to explain, JT tranquilizes Tess. JT isn't happy that Catherine wants to explain whats going on to Tess, and Vincent is backing her, but he heads out to put Vincent's DNA in the tests to confirm that the vigilante is "dead". After talking for a bit with Vincent, Catherine heads to the station to send an email from Tess saying shes sick and gather evidence for Tess to prove Vincent protects the innocent. At the station she runs into Gabe who insists on finding Tess's whereabouts and to come with Cat to Tess's place. With JT and Evan, JT is working on switching in Vincent's DNA in and seeing if Evan is still working with Murfeild. Back in the tunnels Tess wakes up and Vincent attempts to talk to her.

I just love when the fans are rewarded with such a fantastic episode of Batb and Partners In Crime was defiantly a reward and real treat to watch. First let's get past the obvious point of VinCat as once again they were just so adorable together. Each willing to protect each other and in addition to the looks they share with each other. Partners In Crime also explain the fire escape thing that Vincent and Catherine had going there. Like where it was and how he got up there, which might I add is pretty epic. Now we need to talk about Tess as she is now becoming more essential to the plot as she finds out Cat's big secret. I really like how she was uncompromising in the situation and how she felt it was her duty to turn the vigilante in. Tess was willing to cover for Cat, showing that the friendship still meant something. This friendship with Cat is what made me like her a little more and Tess in my good graces. Partners in Crime was the first time I actually didn't want to see Tess die, and was on the edge of my seating waiting for Vincent to save her (who else would it be?). So Tess, your officially wanted now and hopefully this ends my ranting about much I dislike you. Next character I want to talk about it Gabe and the mystery that surrounds him. He is such a good addition to the cast and series as he brings this level of "evil" to it. Not to mention what he wants with Vincent.

Now with everything being, well, just awesome, there are a few things about Partners In Crime that weren't that strong. I have to admit some of the stuff was a bit predictable, like we knew SPOILER would come around. We knew Vincent would save Tess, mostly because it's poetic and proof that Vincent is not bad. Also, Evan has been in the last few episodes worming himself into my bad books, and at the end of Partners In Crime, he officially made it into my bad books. Mostly because of what he is going to do. That and because of his puppy love for Catherine. Blame also has to go onto JT for putting that idea to Evan's head in the first place. He did put some effort in for Team VinCat.

Anyways, this is the level Batb should always be at and I think it's ok to say that the second half of the first season of Beauty and the Beast is so much better. And it's not just because VinCat became to be. It did help though. Partners In Crime proves that Batb can have a good mystery within it's plot lines without having to resort to cheesy simple crime mysteries. Pity though that now we are going to have to wait until we see the fall out from everything since Batb is going on hiatus until April 18. So everyone gets your feels ready for Batb when it returns. Oh by the way, have I mentioned I like the new opening sequence of Batb yet?

Do you also agree Partners In Crime was one of the best episodes of Batb? Do you like Tess a little more now? Do you hate Evan a little more now?
