Alphas "Gods and Monsters": The Game Is Only Beginning

Oh how Alphas knows how to set the bar, and Gods and Monsters was a good example. The battle between Rosen and Parish takes another step as they are both forced to play their hands. This episode was very much had a cause and effect thing going on here.

Rosen is still looking for the leak in the group while he and Nina use the senator to destroy Parish's machines. Back at the office, Rosen gets a case of students disappearing in the school where Jason Miller (the coma kid from Gaslight) goes to school. Rosen realizes it must be related to Jason's alpha ability, and that he is creating an extension of his mind by placing it in other people. Thus putting them in the same wavelength. Elsewhere Parish is making is own plans and decides its time to meet with Rosen again. The two meet in the school of Jason as Parish saves Rosen from being shot. Rosen soon finds himself working with Parish to find and help Jason.

Gods and Monsters was really a game in itself between Rosen and Parish. I mean both have a goal and are willing to do anything to achieve it. Look at the Senator Rosen has Nina pushed, she nearly got run over and was later sent to a hospital. On the other side, Parish's experiment with Jason didn't go as planned and Parish is forced to act. Both Rosen manage to surprise the other side in a different way. Rosen even manages to figure out who the leak is since its [SPOILER].

There was really nothing going wrong in Gods and Monsters as it was such a great episode. I love the contrast between Rosen and Parish that is pointed out. Well Parish point out how both have different goals, but similar means. Could this mean in the future we could see Rosen go over the edge or is it Parish just messing with Rosen? Gods and Monsters also got really intense with some scenes that made me go "wow" at the screen. Especially the scene where Parish is imprisoned within Rosen' building. You know what I mean when you see it.

Gods and Monsters is has nicely set up the ending arc of the season and I look forward to seeing where Alphas takes us. Next week, Falling airs. Could it be a fall from grace hmmm?
