Merlin Season 5 Poster

Merlin Season 5 Poster.
Merlin arrived at Comic Con in style with a new Season 5 poster on its heels. Its looks like things are heating up in Merlin as three years has past since the events of the Season 4 finale. As you can see in the poster, Gwen is now queen and Arthur is still growing as a King (or at least I assume). Morgana is still looking like a bad ass, and Guais looking more wise.

But what is Comic Con without spoilers? It has been revealed that Anthony Head will be reprising his role as Uther, but it is unknown how. It is most likely he'll appear as a ghost to Arthur. About the status of Merlin, co-creator and executive producer Johnny Capps has stated that the series will potentially be turned into a trio of full-length films after filming on series five has finished. Capps said:
"We're hopefully going to do a trilogy - three movies. We will focus on them when we finish season five. One idea we've been playing around with is to reboot the whole series [for the films]. We would go back in time and start the story again and show different parts that you didn't see in the series. The other idea is to do a continuation, but we haven't decided yet."
Can you imagine Merlin as a movie? Would you go and see it? I know I most certainly would. Merlin is returning to BBC this fall. Not sure when it will air in North America though. I can't find the Merlin blooper reel or a better looking season 5 trailer at the moment (but you can watch it here). So for now I leave you with a snippet of the Merlin Panel.
