Let's Put A Name To That Face: Liane Balaban

Recently she was announced  be Sam Winchester's new love interest on Supernatural. Because of that, we should take a look at Sam's new lady friend.

Liane Balaban is an Canadian born and bred actress. She grew up in Toronto and later on went to Ryerson University. She didn't stay there long since she left to pursue an acting career instead. Her first acting role was in 1999 in the film New Waterford Girl. A year later she got her first television role in The City.

From there, Balaban began in appear in a bunch of movies, mini tv series and more. She recently began making her break out on tv and getting her face more known. She appeared in shows like Covert Affairs, Numb3rs, Alphas, and NCIS: Los Angeles. In 2010, she appeared in the video game series Assassins Creed as Lucrezia Borgia.

I personally haven't seen much of her work. I did see her as Anna in Alphas though. Even though it has not appeared on IMDB, she will be appearing on Supernatural in a recurring role as the doctor Amelia. No clips for this week, but you can search her on youtube for interviews and clips of her work.
