Lost Girl: The Little Show That Could Be

The cast of Lost Girl.
Lost Girl is a Canadian made sci-fi show that has recently made it big. With two seasons under it's belt, Lost Girl has gained its own fan base that spreads beyond the borders. This caused the Showcase original to soon be picked up by Syfy and other notable networks. Lost Girl is a very unique tv show and makes it interesting to watch. Lost Girl has a third season coming sometime in 2012.

Created by Michelle Lovretta, Lost Girl is about a succbus named Bo and her journey to figure out who she is. One day, Bo saves a girl Kenzi, and soon draws attention from the Fae world. Bo is soon thrown into the world of the Fae and finds out that not only that she is Fae, but she must choose a side. In the Fae world there is two sides, the Light and the Dark. Despite her two options, Bo chooses to remain unaligned. Lost Girl is the tale of Bo and how she lives in between everything. As Bo discovers the world of Fae, so does the audience. The world of the Fae has its own mysteries and rules that Bo discovers as she lives in this world with one foot in.

The title Lost Girl really comes from the fact that the main character, Bo, felt lost about herself for many years. Bo is not your damsel in distress, but rather her own knight in Fae armor. Bo can fight, and whip out amazing lines at to insult her enemies. Joining her, is Kenzi, a former con artist, who like Bo is thrown in the world of the Fae, but she doesn't let being human stop her. There is also Dyson, Trick, Lauren, and Hale.

Now with Bo being a succbus, there are some uncomfortable moments depends on what your comfort zone is. Succbus are beings, or Fae who feed on sexual energy, so if you are uncomfortable is sex scenes or nudity, please note this. The other thing is that because Bo feeds on sexual energy, she can go both ways. Dyson is the male interest of Lost Girl and Lauren is the female love interest. You get the idea, and for some people it might be uncomfortable.

Despite the uncomfortable side, Lost Girl is still about an butt kicking succbus and the journey she sets out on. Lost Girl will make you laugh, cry and get absorbed in the action scene. The Fae mythology is quite cool as well. Whether you watch it or not, its your choice. Promo below.
