Watchmen: Movie Vs. Comic
I just recently watched Watchmen the movie. It was worthy of its rating, 18A. So keep that in mind if you plan sometime in the future to watch it. The thing about the movie that really wowed me was the fact that in the beginning it was almost very close the story. For scenes it would look the comic. I had the book with me when I watched it to see if it was like this. It was really cool seeing it happen in the book and on the tv. As the movie progressed though, it began not to follow the novel .
For the costumes, there was a few changes. Like how Rorschach mask kept changing. Jupiter's costume didn't have a necklace, nor skirt. It had high heel boots instead of high heel shoes. Adrian's headpiece went around his whole head. He also wears gold, but in the movie he did not. I also found the movie to be historically inaccurate clothing wise. This includes hairstyles too.
Even though it followed the novel very well in the beginning, it was changed more during the middle. It switch scenes around and out of order. It was mostly the Rorschach's parts though. Also, Rorschach did not go back for his mask in his jail break in the novel. He had another one stashed away. There was also no of Jon's ex in the TV station and she didn't pull off her wig. At the end, Dan doesn't punch Adrian, but in the movie he does. In Rorschach final scene, he did not look sad when he tells Jon to kill him in the novel (or so I believe). In the novel, he screams "KILL ME" with tears running down his face.
