Video Games Today

Has anyone noticed that games coming out today are getting more and more gorier? The most popular ones are M-rated like Gears of War, Left for Dead and Call of Duty. The more popular genre is shooting games. I am not against playing these games because I enjoy them myself and don't want to be a hypocrite. I just want to get this thought out. Has society become so desensitized to accept these images as the norm?

Has any idiot can see, games are becoming more bloodier. But the ones that try to stay away from this don't do so hot. Only game to ever survive this and still strong today is Final Fantasy. Yes the classical I hit you and then you hit me. I have two of those games myself on my PS2 and the movie (plot not so good, but I still love it). One of my more bloodier games is, one of my favorite series, Devil May Cry. I have all four games and the anime; yes there is an anime, I would know.

New games coming out today like Left For Dead 2, are showing the bloodier side to the game industry. You can now chop off limbs, blow their brains out and chainsaw them to pieces. Oh the fun. But it is highly entertaining. Is this what we have come to? Giggling at limbs flying? On the plus side there is an excellent story and lovable characters, I like the redneck. How we have come so far.............
