Merry Arthur Christmas

If there is a holiday movie to see this season, Arthur Christmas is a must see. Its filled with good family holiday cheer. Not to mention absolutely ridiculous but a good kind.

So the movie first starts out by explaining the Santa legend and shows the Santa line. I felt it was a bit slow in the beginning but it was explaining how the North Pole ran and operation deliver presents. It also shows Arthur's love of Christmas (if you didn't get it from his outfit), so you can overlook it. It soon picks up its pace when a undelivered present is discovered. Along side with grand-santa and Bryony, Arthur sets out to deliver the present. Que in the antics as they get lost, mistaken for an UFO, and lose a reindeer. One of the best scenes is when Arthur manages to sing (Christmas carol by the way) lions to sleep. Another element to the movie is the ongoing family feud between the Santas. Grand-santa wants to prove the you can still deliver presents without technology. Santa wants to be in control, because, well because hes Santa. Steve (voiced by Hugh Laurie by the way) wants to be the next Santa. And then there Arthur who just wants Christmas.

Nothing really bad to say about the movie. It is sometimes silly, which will be bad for you serious folk. But then again why would you be watching this movie? The movie felt a bit fast paced, and may lose you a couple of times, but not too long. Another thing, Justin Bieber has a music video in the beginning of the movie. I get its a Christmas movie, but is the video really necessary? I don't think so. For those of us who would like to not watch Justin Bieber, it was pointless, but for you Bieber fever fans, enjoy. To sum it up, you want a cheerful holiday movie, Arthur Christmas is a movie you should consider seeing.
